You might think that honey only belongs in desserts and sweet dishes, but it’s actually a really versatile ingredient that can be incorporated into savoury dishes as well. This honey garlic chicken is a testament to how honey can make a chicken dish flavourful. 


Ingredients: 


2 tsp olive oil

700g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, chopped into small cubes 

Salt and pepper, to taste

3 tbsp honey

3 tbsp soya sauce

3 cloves of minced garlic

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Serves 2-3


Steps: 


Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Season chicken with salt and pepper.

Place the chicken into the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, till they are brown on one side.

You can start making the glaze while the chicken is cooking.

Whisk honey, soya sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. 

Once the chicken cubes are brown on one side, add the sauce into the pan and coat the cubes evenly. 

Let the chicken cook for another 4 to 5 minutes before serving.
